Let's See What Happens...

Long time...no talk. It's been quite a while since I took the time to write my thoughts down for people to see and I've recently started back up again. A lot has happened since my last blog and I've shifted in many different ways. I'll take some time over the next few months TRYING to be vulnerable and updating you all on what's been taking up space in my mind.

I recently started writing on substack and wanted to include my first post since I think it was a good "introduction". I hope you enjoy!

----------

Hi, I’m Cas. I’m a mental health therapist, a millennial Black woman, and someone who has spent years helping other people heal while learning to let myself be human, too (a therapist WITH a therapist y’all).

I created this Substack because I wanted a space that feels honest, not polished. A space to talk about mental wellness, identity, softness, boundaries, burnout, joy, healing, and the messy middle where most of us actually live.

Why now? Because so many of us are exhausted from being strong. Because the world is loud, and the truth is quiet. Because waiting until I felt “ready” was just another way of hiding. And because community feels more powerful than isolation.

Here’s what you can expect: Short reflections. One-liners that hit somewhere between the head and the heart. Thoughts about rest, healing, mental health, relationships, anxiety, growth, and what it means to make room for yourself. Some days it’ll be two sentences. Some days it might be two paragraphs. Either way, this will be real.

If you want even more depth, paid subscribers will get a place to put the heaviness they carry down, guided reflections, and conversations that go a little deeper; especially for millennials navigating the world with both tenderness and fatigue.

Most of all, I hope this becomes a community. A place that reminds us we are not alone, not broken, and NOT behind.

If this speaks to you, subscribe, share, and stay awhile. There’s room for you here. 🤎

-Cas
